What Are Maggies?
Maggies are stylish little cases, perfect for a camera, phone, giving gift cards or to keep some goodies together in your purse. She’s quick to make and perfect last minute gifts. Better yet, Maggie is made with two 10″ squares of fabric. She’s great for layer cake cuts and left over pieces.

Maggie Kit #1: Fabric is Fresh Flowers by Deb Strain for Moda.

Our Maggie pattern includes two sizes: large is ideal for a camera or cell phone, small is perfect for giving gift cards and more. I use small Maggies to hold my earbuds, loose change and business cards. A large Maggie is really nice for tea or coffee supplies, a first aid kit and so much more.

Maggie Kit #2: Fabric is Lovely by Sandy Gervais for Moda.

Use Maggie as a camera case and hang the camera strap out the side.

I am new here so hope this is the right place to publish this. I would like to enter you I am so lazy contest. I am so lazy I have my grandchildren step on my foot pedal when I want to sew so I can keep my feet up.

I will try this once more. I am so lazy I have my grandchildren sit on my foot pedal when I sew so I can keep my feet up.

I’m so lazy that I haven’t even started Christmas shopping yet. And My cards aren’t done either. Even though I bought all the ingredients, there’s no candy or cookies made either.

  4. Sylvia — December 17, 2010 @ 2:08 am

    Once it’s time to pick a purse’s pattern I’m a lazy girl!

  5. Sheila — December 17, 2010 @ 2:43 am

    Haha! Love it!

I’m so lazy that I almost didn’t bother to think of a way to finish this sentence, even though your prizes are great!

  6. Robyn — December 17, 2010 @ 3:25 am

I’m so lazy that I still haven’t unpacked all my books from my apartment. I moved back home five months ago…and still have nothing to read. :)

  7. Kerry — December 17, 2010 @ 3:39 am

I’m so lazy I have sat here all day entering giveaways even though I have company coming Saturday to stay for a couple weeks over the holidays – and the house is a mess! If dust bunnies get big enough, can you deduct them as dependants?

  8. Claire — December 17, 2010 @ 5:15 am

I’m so lazy my 10 month old daughter is going to have to finish her own quilt if she wants it before she graduates from college.

  15. Marguerite — December 17, 2010 @ 4:44 pm

Must be lazy – several other peoples’ comments sound very familiar to me! I’m so lazy I’ll have the husband take me out to eat so I don’t have to … no, not “wash dishes” … so I don’t have to replace the trash can liner with a new bag!

  16. Laura Hughes — December 17, 2010 @ 6:35 pm

I’m so lazy I’d rather sew, craft, read, sit, etc…than clean up, put things up or even eat!!! It’s so hard to stop what I’m working on to do anything!

    Merry Christmas!

  17. Katy — December 17, 2010 @ 8:00 pm

I’m so lazy I haven’t yet ordered a Maggie! Shame on me! They look so fun, too! I love your patterns, and thanks for your encouraging words… you don’t know how much they lift a spirit – even when you didn’t realize your spirit needed lifting! Bless you!

  26. Ruth — December 21, 2010 @ 1:28 am

I’m so lazy, I spend all my time thinking of ways to do things simple and fast so I don’t have to spend much time doing them to begin with. Look me up in the dictionary under procrastinator. :) Merry Christmas!

  27. Jan Hunter — January 24, 2011 @ 1:12 pm

I’m so lazy that I don’t even try to keep thread snippets picked off my clothes. I throw them in the dryler and let the lint trap do the work!

  28. Dianne Grubbs — January 24, 2011 @ 4:59 pm

    Hi, fellow crafters.
In the past year, I have made at least 150 (maybe more) Maggie Bags. I have used them for gifts, hostess gifts and to hold smaller gifts. I include a little note in each one, descibing the many Maggie uses. I have added about 2-3 inches to the large Maggie to make a matching glasses holder. For myself I have packed a small first aid kit in one bag and a small emergency sewing kit in another . These fit easily in my glove compartment.

  29. Susan Dobbins — February 1, 2011 @ 4:03 am

I am just getting back into sewing, this looks like a super cool project I can figure out after over 23 years of not sewing. Something I want to take back in my out of control life, and help me destress. Thank you. YOU have such wonderful ideas.
