Candice: Giveaway, Interfacing and Big Nerdy Delight

Lazies, The arrival of our new pattern Candice is getting closer! She’ll be here soon. It is a big nerdy thrill for me when a new pattern walks in the door and we meet for the very first time. When Mr. UPS man brings that first box in the door, I open it with delicate curious respectful excitement.

Candice shown in ‘Pick a Bunch’ by Nancy Mims for from Kaufman.

I gently open the box top, look in, and gaze upon the stacks and stacks of Girls looking up at me. Taking the first new pattern out of the box is like making the first footprint in a perfect bed of snow or smooth sandy beach.

For Shape Flex lightweight interfacing, buy 1 .5 yards or more. A few cutting options shown below.

For Bosal #334 med/heavy interfacing, buy 1 yard and use the same cutting layout in the Candice pattern.

  43. Maria — October 12, 2011 @ 11:26 am

So many of the bags I see just scream “quilt nerd”! This one is classy!!!!!

  44. Johanna — October 12, 2011 @ 11:36 am

Love the new bag! I like the hardware too, it add a bit to it. I like when I walk into a quilt shop with one of your bags and the girls that work there say I love your “Claire” bag (or whatever pattern it may be). That’s my test. If the just refer to it as a “bag”, I know they are not the lazy place to shop!

  45. Stephanie N-F — October 12, 2011 @ 11:40 am

I like the color choices on the bag you made, but I love that the pattern will allow you to go dramatic or tonal. I can’t wait to try her out on seasonal fabric!

  46. MollyP — October 12, 2011 @ 11:43 am

She is beautiful and I cannot wait to meet her! I love the organizer pockets. Yes, people, I’m a little OCD. She is the perfect professional yet trendy bag.

  47. Sara Sorensen — October 12, 2011 @ 11:49 am

I think Candice is beautiful. I really like the D ring feature. I think she would be a great addition to my arsenal of bags. Yes, I used the word arsenal. It would be great to fill all her pockets with all my stuff.

  48. Susan A — October 12, 2011 @ 12:07 pm

I absolutely LOVE this pattern and have wanted it from first site!

  49. Sandra Hedrick — October 12, 2011 @ 12:22 pm

I love the new Candice pattern! I have about a zillion fabrics I could use for her!!! That doesn’t mean I won’t be buying more though, because when I go out of town, the first thing I look for is fabric stores that we don’t have here. All we have is JoAnn’s. Sure hope I win it! Thanks.

  50. teresa heinz — October 12, 2011 @ 12:34 pm

    great love it
