Candice: Giveaway, Interfacing and Big Nerdy Delight

Lazies, The arrival of our new pattern Candice is getting closer! She’ll be here soon. It is a big nerdy thrill for me when a new pattern walks in the door and we meet for the very first time. When Mr. UPS man brings that first box in the door, I open it with delicate curious respectful excitement.

Candice shown in ‘Pick a Bunch’ by Nancy Mims for from Kaufman.

I gently open the box top, look in, and gaze upon the stacks and stacks of Girls looking up at me. Taking the first new pattern out of the box is like making the first footprint in a perfect bed of snow or smooth sandy beach.

For Shape Flex lightweight interfacing, buy 1 .5 yards or more. A few cutting options shown below.

For Bosal #334 med/heavy interfacing, buy 1 yard and use the same cutting layout in the Candice pattern.

Funny you should mention a sandy beach…that was my maiden name!
I have made several of your bags always for myself, I think, until I take it out in public and the girls get a look at it then I end up making at least a half dozen to give away as gifts. It wonderful to be able to sew!
Your patterns just keep getting better and better! Have a gorgeous fabric picked out all ready for this one, can’t wait to get it!

Have pre-ordered Candice and looking forward to receiving it. Have accumulated many of the Lazy Girl patterns but haven’t had the chance to make many except the Runaround Bag and Summer Tote. Would love to win, especially to have the bottom & D-rings, then I could give one pattern as a gift since the giveaway includes the pattern. Thanks.

Being a quilter, I have just started to consider making a bag – this one does it for me. A grab and go for anywhere from shopping to dinner to any kind of function to church. It is very eye-catching, very appropriate and tasteful for everyone. Beautiful choice of color. I would be proud to carry it and for me that says a lot.

Ii is sleek, and mature without being old Lady styled, while carrying a youthful glow that would be appropriate for all but the kindergaten set. Beautiful!
